Murray H. Goodman was an American businessman and philanthropist. He was born in 1925 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, U.S. He was the founder and chairman of the Goodman Group, a real estate development and investment firm. He was also the founder of the Murray H. Goodman Foundation, which supports education, health care, and the arts. Goodman attended Lehigh University, where he earned a degree in industrial engineering. After college, he worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation and then joined the family business, the Goodman Group. He was the chairman of the Goodman Group for more than 50 years. Goodman was a generous philanthropist, donating millions of dollars to various causes. He was a major donor to Lehigh University, where he established the Murray H. Goodman Campus. He also donated to the University of Miami, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of South Florida. Goodman passed away in 2020 at the age of 95. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and four grandchildren.
